About Us

Our Mission

Olympik Tots Daycare & Learning Center is a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. We believe in providing a high quality childcare and after school program to busy parents and their children. We work in partnership with family and community to educate responsible, lifelong learners to possess the skills, knowledge, creativity, sense of self-worth, and ethical values necessary to survive and flourish in a rapidly changing, culturally diverse, global society.

We are Keystone Stars PA licensed facility and have met or exceeded all health and safety guidelines.

Our ratio of children to adults is always within state guidelines, and often even lower. You can rest assured that your child will be cared for with the utmost kindness, love, and respect. We believe each child is a precious gift and we treat them as though they were our own.

Classroom Information

Nemo Class

Age: Infant to Young Toddler

In this class, we focus more on nurturing and teaching the children to socialize and share with their friends through playing together. Depending on your child’s age, activities will be provided to support your child’s different stages of development. We provide activities that encourage rolling over, sitting up, crawling and walking. We encourage the development of small motor skills such as stacking blocks, fitting shapes together, turning the pages of a book, as well as supervised water play. We also partner with parents to help train their child(ren) to use the bathroom. We teach the children how to identify their basic emotions, sing songs, dance, and have brief Chinese lessons twice a week.

Spongebob Class

Age: Older Toddler

We teach the children how to play independently and with peers, cleaning up, and other daily routines. One of the important functions of playing is the acquisition of developmental skills and knowledge of the surrounding environment. Our room contains various interesting areas that are set up to promote self-discovery. We teach the children to recognize their names, basic numbers, and shapes. We also expand on the children’s social-emotional skills by teaching them how to calm down, play together, and take turns. We work with parents to get the children toilet trained.

Guppy Class

Age: Preschool

In this classroom, we will be working on the children’s fine motor skills through various art activities and regulating their emotions with Second Step concepts. We will also teach the children to spell their names and showing inquiries through scientific exploration. The children will know how to trace their names, shapes, and count and recognize their numbers.

Pirate N’ Mermaid (PM) Class

Age: Pre-K

We focus on improving your child’s cognitive development. We strive to teach your child phonics, writing uppercase and lowercase letters and their names and then moving onto basic reading and math. We also focus on helping children who are non-English language speakers to develop their language skills and help their confidence in speaking a new language. We help them regulate their emotions with Second Step concepts and show inquiries through scientific exploration.

Survivor

Age: Elementary After School

We provide homework help and offer extra practice should the child need it. We teach math and English foundations through activities and games. We encourage children to think and show curiosity through scientific experiments. We encourage the children to explore the arts through various projects.

State Guidelines

Staff/Child Ratios

We follow NAEYC recommended ratios of caregivers to children, which exceed usual licensing requirements.
Our staff/child ratios are as follows:
1:3 for infants
1:4 for young toddlers
1:6 for older toddlers
1:10 for pre-schoolers and older
